All About Silkies, Nigerian Dwarf Goats & More

Goats for Sale Currently – Does in milk, doelings, bucklings, wethers

We have the following goats for sale currently.

Strong preference for selling adult goats, does in milk etc in pairs.  It is much easier for adult goats to transition to a new herd as a pair than by themselves.  If you currently have goats, an doe in milk can go with one of her kids instead of another adult.

Whole herd is tested negative CAE.  Last test – 1/18.

Located in Moneta, VA – happy to arrange delivery for a gas fee.  If you are in another state, will need to get a health certificate also – cost is typically around $35.

The following does will be available for sale in milk after kidding.  Our kidding season will be starting mid January 2019. We are accepting deposits on them now.  It is a $150 non-refundable deposit per doe to hold your reservation.

For the breeding schedule and information on reserving a baby, check out our Nigerian Dwarf Goats For Sale page.

Does for Sale

Fields of Grace Jillian

$600 – in milk

Fields of Grace Jillian

Fields of Grace Jillian - 2nd Freshening udder

Jill’s 2nd Freshening Udder, no separation.  Uneven due to leaving only one kid on her.

Pedigree:

Dam: Kids Corral T Lucia VVE+86
Sire: Agape Oaks GL Pegasus
Sire’s Sire: Flat Rocks Gems Legacy VEE 87
Sire’s Dam: Flat Rocks Mica +VEE88
Dam’s Sire: Little Tots Estate Tsuga ++*B VVE88
Dam’s Dam: Swanson Doemain Arianna

Jill will be available after early 2019 kidding.  Jill was one of our first five goats and it will be very sad to see her leave 🙁  But in order to retain kids and continue to change and improve our herd she needs to move on to a new home.  Jill is an extremely easy keeper.  She rarely has any issues.  Jill is also a very easy kidder – she never needs any assistance and is a wonderful and attentive mom.  She is a wonderful milker and maintains her production well throughout the year.  Her only downside is that her teats are on the smaller side, but she is still easy to milk out.

Cloven Trail CocoaPuff

$550 – in milk

Cloven Trail Cocoa Puff

Pedigree

Dam:  Celtic-River BSS Sky’s Elsie
Sire: Cloven Trail Radar
Sire’s Sire:  Old Mountain Farm Palidrome +VE85
Sire’s Dam:  Cloven Trail Candy Apple
Dam’s Sire:  CHW DH Blue Suede Shoes
Dam’s Dam:  Atwood Acres GR Sky Blue

Cocoa will be available after early 2019 kidding.  Cocoa is the most wonderful mom – we would like her to go with her daughter below, Evie (Evil Little Goat), her 4 year old wether or a kid from this year.  Cocoa is another girl that will be hard to let go – she was one of our first goats.  But we have kids from her and so need to move her to a new herd.  She is a little skiddish sometimes, I believe that with some one on one attention in a new herd she would be more friendly.  She is a sweet, gentle girl.  She is very dairy and does need a little extra sometimes to keep weight on when she is in milk.  She is a VERY easy kidder and never needs assistance.

Terra Bella Z Hecate

*Blue Eyes

$500 – in milk

Hecate is a beautiful doe.  She kidded easily without assistance as a First Freshener in 2018.  She had nice capacity for a FF as well.  Hecate has the potential to be a really nice doe.  However, she is a little wild – she is not field friendly at all.  Once you have her, she is very easy to deal with.  For that reason, she is on the sale list.

Lil Mtn Willow

$500 – in milk

Willow would LOVE to go with her mom (Kira below).  They are very bonded.  Willow is like a little mini Kira.  Willow is a TINY girl.  Despite her tiny size, she kidded easily without assistance with twins in 2018.  We did help supplement her kids with a bottle just because Willow is pretty small and we wanted to be sure they were getting enough milk.  Willow is very sweet, and easy to handle.  She loves attention.

Cool Springs Farms C Kira

$650 – in milk

Kira would LOVE to go with her daughter, Willow (above).  Kira has a BEAUTIFUL udder.  She is easy to milk and produces well.  Kira is also very sweet and easy to handle.  She has never needed assistance during kidding – every year here she has given us twins.  Her first freshening she had triplets.

MrAnimal Farm Evil Little Goat (Evie)

$550 – in milk

Evie would LOVE to go with her mom (Cocoa above).  They sleep together and are very attached. Evie had the best first freshener udder we have had here so far. Evie also has been very parasite resistant and I don’t believe we have ever had to deworm her.  But, unfortunately, Evie is on the wild side.  With 25+ goats, we need everyone to be easy to catch 🙂  She is very easy to handle once you have your hands on her.

MrAnimal Farm Pixie Stix

$250

Pixie is a super cute black and white girl. She’s just over two years old and we have never caught her in heat, so we do not think she will be able to be bred. For that reason, she is priced as a pet at $250. She is a bit wild. However, once you have hands on her she is easy to handle. I believe with one on one attention and time she will be more friendly as her mom is very friendly.

MrAnimal Farm Crazy Mary

$550

**Polled and blue eyes

Crazy Mary is a sweet, gentle girl. She had an easy first kidding last year and was a good mom. Her udder is an improvement over her mom’s, but we are having to make hard cuts and she’s not one of our top first fresheners so she is on the list.

MrAnimal Farm Emma Frost

$550

Emma is out of one of our best does, Little Tots Estate Eleganus. She has a nice first freshening udder. And I think it will jsuy improve as she matures. She would not be for sale except she’s not super friendly. She’s easy enough to handle, but she doesn’t love being caught. Her mom is the sweetest girl ever as are her 5 siblings we have here, so I would expect more one on one attention would make her more friendly.

MrAnimal Farm OverTheRainbow (Bowie)

$500

Bowie is a first freshener this year. She had a HUGE single boy. Her kidding was difficult and the boy had to be pulled, she’s a smaller girl and he was SO big. However, she’s been a super attentive mom. Her udder looks to be a smaller version to her dam (Gotta B Kid N Z Blizzrd) and I think that she will matures very nicely. She’s also been very hard here and parasite resistant.

More girls will be listed for sale after kidding when we can evaluate their udders.  If you are interested in a doe in milk, but none of the ones above strike your fancy, feel free to reach out to us at mranimalfarm@gmail.com and we can put you on a wait list to notify you when we make the rest of our cuts.
